Autospec 4x4 – Manufacturer’s Warranty Statement

1. Overview

RJM Belmont Pty Ltd trading as Autospec 4x4 (“we”, “us” or “our”) warrants that our range of trays, canopies, toolboxes, and vehicle accessories are free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for a period of twenty-four (24) months from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”).

This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not exclude, restrict or modify, any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

2. Scope of Warranty

This warranty applies to products purchased directly from Autospec 4x4 or one of its authorised dealers and installed in accordance with the product’s intended purpose and guidelines.

Covered under this warranty:

  • Structural faults and manufacturing defects
  • Failures of welds, hardware, or fasteners due to manufacturing fault
  • Defective components or materials affecting functionality
  • Locks
  • Gas struts
  • Hinges
  • Drawers
  • Drawer runners

3. Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to:

  • Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic blemishes, surface rust or paint deterioration
  • Misuse, neglect, overloading, or improper installation
  • Damage resulting from off-road use, collision, impact or accident
  • Use of non-genuine parts or unauthorised modifications
  • Water ingress where the product is not expressly marketed as water-resistant or weatherproof
  • Commercial use outside the scope of intended purpose
  • Damage caused by natural disasters or severe weather events
  • Unsatisfactory installation by third parties
  • Alterations or use for unintended purposes

4. Making a Warranty Claim

To make a claim under this warranty, the purchaser must notify us by email at:

Please include:

  • Your original proof of purchase
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photographs or video showing the defect
  • Vehicle registration or VIN (where relevant)

Any defect found within 24 hours of receiving your product should be reported immediately so we can address the issue promptly. Otherwise, it may be considered wear and tear.

Customers are responsible for the cost of return freight associated with warranty claims. Where a claim is determined to be invalid, we reserve the right to pass on any associated costs to the customer.


5. Remedies

If a product defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the defective product, or
  • Replace it with a new or equivalent product, or
  • Refund the original purchase price (in whole or part)

No charge will be made for labour or parts in connection with a valid warranty repair or replacement. However, this warranty does not cover removal or re-installation costs or loss of use.

If a replacement product is not available within 28 days, we may instead offer a refund to minimise disruption to your use of the product.


6. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.


7. Returns and Refunds (Non-Warranty)

For non-warranty related returns, including change-of-mind or incorrect product selection, please refer to our separate Returns & Refunds Policy. Warranty claims are assessed independently of return requests.
